Eutopia by Kelevra

Tired of hearing Toni G's "In a Perfect World" song whenever you hit the log in screen? Well, good news is, that's about to change.

According to sir Roy (otherwise known as GM Shiro) Perfect World's brand manager, they are planning a shift from "In A Perfect World" to "Eutopia" by Kelevra, and hopefully will be implemented soon.

Here's the music video (created by Noratu of Dragon server)

and the Lyrics:

Every time I close my eyes
I see another world denied
A perfect world inside has been calling me

A crying child brings peace tonight
The soulless hiding in the lies
A perfect world inside has been yearning

Alone
Come and take me home
Im bleeding here cant you see
Im waiting alone
Come and take me home

Gods that guide me through this fight
Save me from the darkest night
I cry out to the heavens will you save me

Angels chanting in abandon
Souls bowed down and broken
The whole world awaits for you now

Alone
Come and take me home
Deliver me cant you see
Im waiting alone

Im all Alone
Come and take me home
Deliver me cant you see

Im waiting alone
Deliver me cant you see

Kinda liked the song since its more of a rock genre, plus the lyrics seems to haunt me... Hands down to Noratu, who have been making great videos since pROSE days. All shots were in game and edited using photoshop. He sure is one of a kind...

Perfect World Expansion (Lost Empire): The Chrono Wheel Reconstruction Quest

Another feature of the Perfect World Expansion (Lost Empire) is an epic quest chain that links the past to the present! The main storyline in the expansion consists of a series of quests where the player can actually participate in the reconstruction of the Chrono Wheel. This all culminates at a point where one can actually venture back in time to various locations in Perfect World history.

As I far as I can remember, everyone was wondering about orange the Quest from General Xia Feng (General Summers). Well, looking deeper, it is the starting point of the series of quests that culminates to "World of the Past, Heaven's Tear Quest". Unfortunately, that isn't available yet in our current version.

You can start the quest at level 70, however there are boss monsters that one would need a party unless you're already on the 90+ level range. All boss and mobs in this quest are within 70-79 level range but are way tougher than your ordinary mobs.

Anyway, I would advice that you do these quests now, so that when patch comes out, you'll be ready. (Credits to PWI and Janelh)

Perfect World Expansion, what's in Store for Us?

The Lost Empire is one of the most anticipated update for Perfect World players here in the Philippines. A lot of us are pretty much excited to the changes it will bring, specially those who already have been on a hiatus because there's nothing much to do.

Here's a quick peek of the first Expansion update (second expansion being the Age of Spirits).

The Teaser:

The Story
One thousand years before the modern age, a vast empire rose to power. Ruled by a tyrannical king, the empire conquered and subjugated all the lands to the west. As the empire expanded its influence, so grew in number those who opposed the tyrant's rule. When the tyrant died under unexplainable circumstances, the empire was thrown into a state of disarray. Sensing the imminent opportunity, allied forces wage war against the empire. At the height of the war, the empire mysteriously vanished without a trace. Strange and terrifying creatures spread through the land. The secrets of the ancient empire were lost to time. Until now...

Features
- New skills and Spiritual Cultivation levels
Yey! 3rd Fairy... the esteem quest that needs some 30 monsters to kill will finally be finished and you can transform you fairy into its Next Look. Aside from that, hang on to those COEs (chapter of Eternity) of yours because they will come handy for your additional level 100 Skills. Yum!

- An epic quest chain that links the past to the present!
The main storyline in the expansion consists of a series of quests where the player can actually participate in the reconstruction of the Chrono Wheel. This all culminates at a point where one can actually venture back in time to various locations in Perfect World history. The modern world remains unchanged; however I think these “moments in time” will be of great interest for most highbies...

- New zones, including Unicorn Forest and Valley of the Scarred, New quests and monsters
Wow New Dungeons to explore... The new zones provide a good deal of new content for players. They are all part of Perfect World’s history and will give one a better view of the overall narrative present in Perfect World. New monsters and quests would mean new challenges for everyone...

The Cube of Fate
Another interesting feature that will come along with the Lost Empire patch is the Cube of Fate. It is a daily quest, more of like playing the game Snakes and Ladders but with a twist. The Cube of Fate is a solo dungeon (shared instance) in Perfect World that you can enter starting at level 40. There are 50 rooms in the puzzle dungeon, each with its own unique challenge to complete. Once you complete a room's challenge, you will receive a random six sided die that will move you forward throughout the dungeon. The objective is to reach room 50, however if you fail a challenge or are killed along the way, you will re spawn back in room 1 with the option to either exit the Cube, or start the puzzle all over again.

Boss Cards
To further enhance the gaming experience, boss cards will be introduced in the game. A total of 128 type of boss cards corresponding to 16 bosses (8 cards per boss) can be collected. One can collect these cards from the mobs found at Kylin forest, the Scarred Vally, Desert Tower and Unicorn forest.

- New Weapons and Equipments
Shall we say bye bye to Dusk Equipments? Hmmmm we'll see... Seasoned gamers are usually excited about equipment, and more importantly, bad ass looking equipment. Needless to say there is a plethora of new weapons, ornaments, and armor available in The Lost Empire. Be amazed at the particle effects that the design team manages to create in PW, and with The Lost Empire’s equipment, they have definitely outdone themselves.

The first Expansion (The Lost Empire) of Perfect world is really promising, I just hope we can get our hands on it anytime soon (crossing fingers)...

Now this leaves me wondering, will there be New Mounts? Flights? and Perhaps another lottery box that players can spend their money and gamble on?? Well, your guess is as good as mine...

My Character Got Hitched! Perfect World Wedding...

Okay okay, for the sake of an 8 star dragon ball (who won't want that right?) me and a friend decided to have our characters wed.

It was a long thought, but you won't really earn anything if you won't gamble. It's probably worth the risk. Although I must say we really made a fool of ourselves, since we don't know what to do... Call us noobs, but that if it's wedding related hahaha.

So here's a little wedding guide from that experience.

First, you need to purchase the Groom and Bride's Package on the item mall

Afterward, go to the matchmaker and take the quest. Make sure that you and your partner are the only people in the party.

Get the quest, open the boxes and poof... You'll read a system message saying that you two are married... That simple hahaha

Hopefully Dragon server wins...

Events, Events and More Perfect World Events...

The month of June is often dubbed as the "wedding" month. We have probably heard a lot of traditional beliefs regarding getting married at this time of the year. Perfect World Online (published by Level Up games Inc. in the Philippines) also took advantage of that and have tailored their events to fit the tradition.

The so called "Kasalang Bayan" Event, wherein the objective is to be the server with the highest number of newly weds, was conceptualized. Prizes include a level 8 Dragon ball to the couples of the winning server.

Another event that people are looking forward to is the Xia Feng’s Revolution The Quest to Supremacy, which rewards the top 20 "new" player accounts with the highest fame per server with 12 and 11 star dragon balls... Now ain't that cool...

They're really grand, however, looking deeper, one would immediately realize that only players with money to spend are the only ones really benefiting from this event. For all of these events, would really require players to spend quite a large amount of money for an online game. Wedding packages would cost one thousand pesos (PHP 1,000.00) per couple, while with the fame contest, an alternate way to boost your fame are the candies, which costs 300 gold a piece in exchange for 20 fame, roughly around Php 7,500.00 would give one 10,000 fame, but that still won't guarantee a slot to the top 20.

I just hope they can think of something more creative than that, something in which everyone will have a fair chance to compete... Oh well, a business is a business anyway...

Back to Blogging...

It has been several months since my last post... I sort of took a break from the game...

So anything interesting about Perfect World PH these days? Hmmmm... Oh well, there are the events that asks players to spend tons of money again (by that i mean Load up)

And yeah, I was right, the market is now flooded with all sorts of stuff from the Moon Valley. I've seen a lot of people flaunting all those Moon Valley Rings (which approximately costs 1 Billion Yuan each), and Moon valley weapons...

There have been rumors of a 1 day sale of candies, though highly doubt it...

Amongst other stuff, it's interesting to note that there will be 2 big patches for the third quarter - Perfect World Expansion and the Age of Spirits... Whatever changes these two brings will definitely change the scenery of Perfect world forever.

With that said, I'm already hyped and looking forward to it.
