Perfect World Expansion, what's in Store for Us?

The Lost Empire is one of the most anticipated update for Perfect World players here in the Philippines. A lot of us are pretty much excited to the changes it will bring, specially those who already have been on a hiatus because there's nothing much to do.

Here's a quick peek of the first Expansion update (second expansion being the Age of Spirits).

The Teaser:

The Story
One thousand years before the modern age, a vast empire rose to power. Ruled by a tyrannical king, the empire conquered and subjugated all the lands to the west. As the empire expanded its influence, so grew in number those who opposed the tyrant's rule. When the tyrant died under unexplainable circumstances, the empire was thrown into a state of disarray. Sensing the imminent opportunity, allied forces wage war against the empire. At the height of the war, the empire mysteriously vanished without a trace. Strange and terrifying creatures spread through the land. The secrets of the ancient empire were lost to time. Until now...

Features
- New skills and Spiritual Cultivation levels
Yey! 3rd Fairy... the esteem quest that needs some 30 monsters to kill will finally be finished and you can transform you fairy into its Next Look. Aside from that, hang on to those COEs (chapter of Eternity) of yours because they will come handy for your additional level 100 Skills. Yum!

- An epic quest chain that links the past to the present!
The main storyline in the expansion consists of a series of quests where the player can actually participate in the reconstruction of the Chrono Wheel. This all culminates at a point where one can actually venture back in time to various locations in Perfect World history. The modern world remains unchanged; however I think these “moments in time” will be of great interest for most highbies...

- New zones, including Unicorn Forest and Valley of the Scarred, New quests and monsters
Wow New Dungeons to explore... The new zones provide a good deal of new content for players. They are all part of Perfect World’s history and will give one a better view of the overall narrative present in Perfect World. New monsters and quests would mean new challenges for everyone...

The Cube of Fate
Another interesting feature that will come along with the Lost Empire patch is the Cube of Fate. It is a daily quest, more of like playing the game Snakes and Ladders but with a twist. The Cube of Fate is a solo dungeon (shared instance) in Perfect World that you can enter starting at level 40. There are 50 rooms in the puzzle dungeon, each with its own unique challenge to complete. Once you complete a room's challenge, you will receive a random six sided die that will move you forward throughout the dungeon. The objective is to reach room 50, however if you fail a challenge or are killed along the way, you will re spawn back in room 1 with the option to either exit the Cube, or start the puzzle all over again.

Boss Cards
To further enhance the gaming experience, boss cards will be introduced in the game. A total of 128 type of boss cards corresponding to 16 bosses (8 cards per boss) can be collected. One can collect these cards from the mobs found at Kylin forest, the Scarred Vally, Desert Tower and Unicorn forest.

- New Weapons and Equipments
Shall we say bye bye to Dusk Equipments? Hmmmm we'll see... Seasoned gamers are usually excited about equipment, and more importantly, bad ass looking equipment. Needless to say there is a plethora of new weapons, ornaments, and armor available in The Lost Empire. Be amazed at the particle effects that the design team manages to create in PW, and with The Lost Empire’s equipment, they have definitely outdone themselves.

The first Expansion (The Lost Empire) of Perfect world is really promising, I just hope we can get our hands on it anytime soon (crossing fingers)...

Now this leaves me wondering, will there be New Mounts? Flights? and Perhaps another lottery box that players can spend their money and gamble on?? Well, your guess is as good as mine...
